Description: Join us to celebrate the work of member Artists, Judy Abrahams and Ginnie Parrish.JUDY ABRAHAMS: “STREETS”“This collection of paintings is inspired by my travels to Europe and the years I lived in San Francisco.  I love the narrow streets and the colorful architecture.  The style is an exaggeration of angles, doorways, and so on.  Two of the paintings include San Francisco landmarks and vistas of the bay.  I wanted to create paintings that make the viewer feel as if they can actually enter the painting and walk down the streets. “ – JudyGINNIE PARRISH: “A THOUSAND FLOWERS”Ginnie creates intricate patterns and images in polymer clay using the technique of “millefiori”.In Italy, where glass millefiori originated, the term means “thousand flowers”, which is what the art often resembles. In adapting the technique to polymer clay, the clay is layered to form a tubular log where the patterns run lengthwise. Each cross section then contains the same image. These slices are then used in vases, boxes, bowls or other vessels as well as art jewelry. The finished piece is fired at a low temperature in a convection oven.Ginnie has been creating polymer clay art for 30 years.  Flowers are one of her favorite subjects.CGA is open Tuesday to Saturday 11 AM – 5:30 PM; Sunday 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM

When you’ve seen a band at Slim’s, you’ve seen them up close and personal. With a capacity of only 100 people, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be close to the stage. Slim’s has a large patio out back for smoking and an upstairs lounge with a pool table for when you want to have a little room to stretch out and relax. The bar is well stocked for those who take their drinking seriously. Our prices are low, too. You don’t need to break the bank to have a great time at Slim’s.
